What's the voting method? I like how AURA, in Austin, does it (or did it when I was involved): members only vote, ranked choice with top winner as the endorsed candidate while anyone with >50% are named preferred candidates.
Chapter Leads vote to make a recommendation to the membership. That vote must be 60% or higher, since that recommendation is so influential to the membership.
Then the Members vote, with the "Leads Recommendation" extremely visible on the ballot. That must be 50% threshold, though we're debating making it the standard to do something mildly more complicated with Rank Choice where "No Endorsement" is an option. For voting nerds, it was basically the Schulze method. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schulze_method
We're doing a big website refresh, and these voting methods will be up on the website in about 6 months for folks to dig into.
When should we expect an announcement on this?
